MADELEINE. nicknamed Maddy. originally from sanfran in the year 1993, grew up in the district of columbia, & currently residing for scholarly pursuits in boone, north carolina.

• i am inspired by trees, rain, birds, the broken, and words— those spoken, written, and sung. when i am inspired, i draw, photograph the world, and write.
• i try to live my life in accordance with these guidelines. they are what i believe, want, and need.
• i am a founding member of zeta tau alpha at appalachian state. only the best get crowned.
• i am majoring in sustainable development (b.s.) with a concentration in community, regional & global development and minoring in english at appalachian state university.
• i am in a relationship. his name is nico.
• i do not label my sexuality.
• i am a barista at a coffeeshop and i am constantly drinking coffee and tea, and i don’t like them sweet.
• i like people watching, wandering and conversations about the ideas people are too distracted to think about.
• my favorite book is the alchemist by paulo coelho.
• i live an active, healthy lifestyle—embracing physical, mental and spiritual health.
• i accept Jesus Christ as my savior, and I am Catholic. i recognize that, as a manmade institution, the Catholic Church is far from perfect, but so am i. so i accept the Church with its flaws, working to be active where it needs improvement and supporting the extraordinary work it does, simultaneously.
