just studied for sociology from 9pm until 2am. that’s five hours. that’s also five times the amount of time i’ve spent on sociology since the beginning of the semester. gotta rock this “celebration of knowledge” on thursday. muir is a strange human being so i bet he’s gonna put a lot of random shit on it, so i am going to have to be over prepared.
in other news, the president of my dorm was somewhat impeached this evening and therefore I, as previous vice president, have assumed the role of president. little do they know it was all a part of my evil scheme and now i have assumed enough power to stage a takeover of eggers residence hall…mwahahahahaha. but first i must find a side kick in the form of my vice present. where oh where shall i find you?
So I’m working on my sustainable development assignment, which is about the mistreatment of indigenous peoples in the name of conservationist movements, and it’s making me really pissed off at the way some people think in total disregard/disrespect for the people and the earth (and how they’re meant to coexist) … and so I’m ranting in my notebook. This is getting to be a common occurrence—getting emotionally impacted and/or inspired by what i’m reading for this class, that is. I think that means that Sustainable Development is what I’m supposed to be studying. I’m having a meeting with my advisor next week to talk about switching my major to Sustainable Development with a concentration in Community, Regional and Global Development.
Anywho, here’s that article if you want to read it. It’s really interesting.
